Ruadán Books, a start-up small press based in Boston Massachusetts, has a part time/hourly opening for the position of Marketing/PR Coordinator

Marketing/PR Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

We are searching for a highly qualified marketing and public relations coordinator who can contribute to existing programs while assisting with development of new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital, and social media. The marketing coordinator must be an organized multitasker, able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Small Publishing House Experience a MAJOR plus.

  • Assist in developing and implementing the company’s brand strategy
  • Ensure that all marketing efforts serve immediate and long-term business goals by identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
  • Co-ordinate initiatives with our Social Media partners
  • Craft the public facing strategy of Ruadán Books
  • Build relationships with social media influencers along with traditional media representatives

Qualifications

Required skills and qualifications

  • Experience in marketing coordination for the publishing or book sales industry
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Experience with web-based Social Media tools for advertising (Meta Business Suite for example)
  • Web presence messaging for clients, prospective clients and the public.

Remote Work acceptable

Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Highly self-motivated with attention to detail

Proficiency in Google Drive and knowledge of MS Office a plus.

A passion for organization, a positive attitude, and an interest in learning the inner workings of publishing and planning from start to finish.

Job Types: Part-time/hourly

Pay: Hourly, negotiable
